Situation:- Company "A" ERP will be merged into Company "B" ERP system, including MDG (master data governance, system for customers and vendors)
- Company "A" will go live in some Company "B" non-SAP applications prior ERP integration
As Well:
- Business models in both companies are different (e. g. direct sales to end-user vs sales to end-user via distributor)
- Data models in both companies are different (e. g. product hierarchy, customer hierarchy/partners structure)
- Data quality issues in company being integrated (e. g. duplicationof records in customer master data)
- Data quality checks in place in receptor systems prior data migration. Conflicting with data quality issue in systems deing integrated
- Decisions in final data models are not yet finaldue to ongoing ERP integration , but go-live in other applications already happened
- Multiple projects running in parallel with no central governance (organizational and capacity issue)
Tasks:
- Priority one: to fix the SalesForce data issues
- Priority two: to support in the semi ERP merge
Must have experiences in:
- Data(base) modeling, cataloguing and lineage:
- Assess data requirements for different businesses
- Data modeling, technical and operational metadata, entity relationship (ER) and data flows within enterprise applications
- Analyze current data designs to optimize and provide structural improvements to handle business growth
- Define target data architecture for SalesForce and SAP solutions
- Document, formalize and share data architecture
Data transformation
- Define data merge strategies to combine data from 2 companies in one target database
- Foster automation to decrease manual effort and duplicity, increase data accuracy and standardize ETL techniques
- Define ETL pipelines and run data integration
Data Quality:
- Ensure data quality together with business
- Steer data cleansing
Problem solving competencies:
- Mediate between businesses to find best possible solution for opposing requirements
- Work on partly defined data structures
Majority of work can be done remotely. Case by case for onsite workshops (location not fix yet) - Travel expenses are paid separately.
