SDDC Cloud Progammme Consultant - (UK Home based/Hannover) £ a day + Expenses (flights/accommodation/travel)
Working for a Tier 1 Global Systems Intergrator you will engage on a major programme of SDDC cloud data centre transformation and consolidation as a globally leading consumer services organisation sets out to undertake a global data centre consolidation phase 1 programme to move 2 European data centres to a single SDDC cloud platform.
Experienced in SSDC (software designed data centre) you will have sat in a senior programme consulting role to steer and mentor a number of programme managers in a similar enterprise data centre cloud piece, ideally a major consolidation. This 6 month piece is phase 1, and encompasses less than 10% of their global data centres currently in line for consolidation.
Working with Programme teams and various architects including separate headcount for Service, Infrastructure, Application, Integration and Networking you will be an experienced Programme Manager with good understanding of SDDC principles and technologies.
This is a client-side engagement role, so the individual will need customer facing communication skills, with the ability to proactively engage senior stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints, build consensus for the solution and work with Si contacts and the end clients project/programme managers.
This is a client-side mentoring/consulting role, so the individual will need the presence and gravitas, along with successful experience, to be seen as a mentor by the customers work stream lead. This individual has over 25 years industry experience, but is new to running a specific SDDC project type.
In addition, the chosen individual wuill need to be able to challenge customer ideas in a professional and constructive manner to help ensure the best outcome for the customer project.
This role is starting mid January (15th) and will be based in 3 days in Hanover in Germany and will require you to be there Tue/Wed/Thurs each week with home based working Monday and Fridays (expenses provided for hotel/flights etc). Individuals will also be required to perform the initial 6 month phase 1 piece of work as well as be available for what we anticipate could be up to a further 6-12months + as the rest of the SDDC consolidation programme to cloud phases move forward.
