Job Purpose

The Pre-Sales Finance Business Consultant is responsible for supporting the business development team in acquiring new Financial Close Automation (FCA) customers. You will own the solution for new prospects, from initial qualification through to handover to the professional services team. With strong experience in customer facing roles, you will work with the prospect to understand requirements and will develop innovative solutions that are in line with best practices.

Responsibilities

Compose and deliver sales presentations covering software solutions to prospective customer audiences, which articulate the sales message, differentiate and leave a strong and positive impression.
Prepare and deliver software demonstrations to support the sales cycle. Including personalisation to meet the needs of prospective customers, ensuring an appealing and compelling presentation.
Conduct discovery sessions with prospects to identify and understand key pain points to determine the value drivers and solution enablers for presentation.
Stay up to date with the latest solutions as well as industry trends. Maintain a close understanding and appreciation of competitive solutions.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of solutions and appropriate industries in order to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
Complete responses to RFIs and RFPs.
Support marketing activities, including presenting at events, developing reference customers, competitive positioning and analysis.
Coordinate and plan the transition from the pre sales phase into project delivery, communicating the business requirements to the project/implementation team to ensure a smooth transition.
Collaborate with sales teams to participate in various lead generation activities.

Skills

A detailed understanding of finance / accounting and its relationship with SAP's FI/CO module (G/L, A/P, A/R, CCA, OPA, PCA, CRM and/or COPA).
Knowledge of finance / accounting business processes include the financial close, with day end, month end, quarter end, and year end experience.
An in-depth awareness of challenges faced by large enterprises in realising long term finance programs and strategies.
Customer and sales focused, with the ability to influence both internal teams, prospects and partners.
Strong communication skills you will be self-driven, entrepreneurial, taking responsibility and the ownership of tasks.
Experience of implementing accounting software, and working with SAP's FI CO module would be beneficial.
Ability to present sophisticated finance / accounting software to 'C' level executives within multibillion dollar
