For this fantastic opportunity our client, a prestigious multi-governmental agency in Bonn, Germany, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to begin a six month contract (with likely extension) as soon as possible.
The project:
You will be responsible for leading team(s) of 1-5 software developers and coordinate with the architecture, business analysis, infrastructure, release management and quality assurance teams on a daily basis.
Expectations:
- The IT Project Manager will have primary responsibility for the successful delivery of several software development projects on the SharePoint/.Net platform. She/he may also act as the Service Delivery Manager for support, maintenance and enhancements on delivered systems. Specific activities include:
- Execute the planning and delivery of the listed projects, to an agreed schedule and budget, adhering to the PRINCE2 project management methodology
- Develop Work Packages, project documentation, project plans and other required documentation on the projects
- Provide expert management of day-to-day progress and operational aspects of the projects
- Coordinate on a daily basis with the project customers
- Provide regular reporting to the Project Board and the Manager IT
- Manage and control the overall scope of the project
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities, within the limits of authority
- Review and approve project deliverables
Candidates must possess the following
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or the equivalent through work experience)
- A minimum of seven (7) years of IT project management experience, including successfully managing the delivery of large and complex IT projects to the satisfaction of the client;
- Strong and demonstrable experience with SharePoint 2010;
- Expert knowledge of PRINCE2;
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills in the English language; ability to document complex business processes and requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences;
