Projekt Management Ressource/ Financial-Trading-System (mw) / Kennziffer - 26680

Purpose Of Role:

The project manager will plan and manage the delivery of a medium sized, potentially complex UT Trading System technology implementation projects in Germany region to Financial Services customers.

They will work at a medium technical level within organisations (For example Voice IT Managers) and will own the relationship with such stakeholders for the duration of the installation of the project. The role holder will also lead the virtual team responsible for delivering against the project plan. Where required the role holder will provide support on less complex work

Actual requirement is around 40 project manager days.


Key Responsibilities:

The Project Manager:

The planning and management of up to medium sized UT UK or EMEA based Trading System projects
The application of concepts, procedures and project management skills and a knowledge in other subjects or disciplines, which are relevant to the delivery of the UT project or programme of work
Defined management responsibilities for the work of multi-disciplinary workforces and/or external sub-contractors
The management of risk; UT Trading System projects will typically involve a significant element of risk to the business and external clients. It requires the ability to use and adapt recognised project management methods and processes depending on the elements of the risk profile and customer governance needs
The evaluation of situations using multiple sources of information. Solution may require some new planning and additional resource elements
Lead virtual team where required in the execution of projects
Autonomously delivers projects, work package on time, function, within budget, enabling the expected business benefit and to the client’s satisfaction, managing issues, risks and dependencies successfully along the way.
Will assure the implementation of an adequate project organization and governance and manage the Project Team, the Project Board, Stakeholders, Client and Subcontractor relationships.
Will assure adequate project communication, measures to ensure the quality, management of risks, issues and changes, monitoring of project progress and reporting.
Will be typically responsible for one or more deliverables, including the financial impact for own elements (e.g. projects/subprojects/work-streams/milestones) and is expected to be accountable for those elements.
Will methodically act according to BT's Programme and Project Management methodology, which is based on PRINCE2.
Must have developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships.
Operate in a learning context with guidance from project sponsors and more senior project personnel but requires minimal supervision. Expected to escalate issues, which have exceeded the expected project boundaries, to the appropriate higher authority.


Qualifications:

Required education:
University degree or appropriate technical or professional qualifications
Certification in a project management methodology (PRINCE2 Practitioner , IPMA Level C or PMI)


Project Management experience:
Experience of leading and delivering voice projects preferable with background in Trading system (dealerboard) projects, requiring management of medium-term timeframes, resources and project deliverables (typically gained over a period of five to ten years)
Experience of Trading system (dealerboard) project delivery (With potentially bespoke elements) and relationship management including customer, project team, project suppliers and other affected parties
Is an experienced delivery agent with Trading system (dealerboard) specific experience of delivering to clients directly or delivery of significant and/or time critical products as part of major BT or client programmes
At least 2 years’ experience and knowledge in the management of global ICT customer projects of medium complexity to time , cost, quality , scope, risks, benefit and customer satisfaction
Experience and knowledge in the use of Project Management methodologies and best practice
Experience in project structuring and project planning
At least 2 years’ experience with direct customer and supplier contact
Experienced in communication at project management level
Understanding and experience with adequate financial, business and contractual principles

Project Management capabilities:
Demonstrable experience and capability to manage projects of medium complexity autonomously in a changing environment. Thorough understanding of concepts, procedures and application of project management
Demonstrable record of resolving issues that threatened to delay or seriously disrupt the project goals.
Ability to manage and direct the project team and to manage various complex tasks simultaneously and to delegate effectively
Ability to have the robust/difficult conversations with the customer and/or third party suppliers as required
Leadership skills as a project manager, team builder and leader of effective communication
Ability to apply relationship management skills and to be able to build and own client and stakeholder relationships at project level. Ability to develop and manage business relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Has developed communication and diplomacy skills used to persuade and influence with a growing ability to engage and inspire clients at peer level. May also share issues and work on solutions with external consultants.
Ability to quickly familiarize themselves with complex processes
Good voice and presentation skills
Ability to communicate in German and English (business fluent, oral and written)
Unrestricted willingness to travel
