IMS customer project experience (service integration and test & type, acceptance & live network rollout)
Customer DT, HW/SW IMS core and application nodes, SIP, IP, IMS
Location Nurnberg, on customer premises but also possibly remote working could be a feature
Good German language skills essential plus English
Daily rate inclusive of expenses 580 EUR
Start as soon as possible

Normal professional working day, Monday to Friday 8.5 to 10 hours a day

  • No shift support expected, no emergency support, it might be required to work outside regular business hours very occasionally and if the project requires so (before 8.00 and after 18.00)

In this position the Integration Engineer provides technical services in the telecommunication domain for new and existing customer networks and/or for IT systems and their software solutions. IMS-based solutions are the focus domain of this position. When working within the scope of projects, an Integration Engineer can be expected to analyze, prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of nodes, networks and complex systems. The scope can also include the scenarios of introductions, upgrades and functionality or capacity expansions.

The following tasks are applicable for this position:

  • Analysis of complex customer requirements and suggestion of technical solutions in the area of IMS-Core, Applications and Access
  • Support of presales activities, including pre-studies.
  • Plan the implementation of Product Configuration/Integration work.
  • Installation, Integration, Configuration and troubleshooting of IMS/Core nodes, networks and solutions at the customer premises.
  • Secure that the delivered solution is properly implemented and works according to the requirements.
  • Verification, integration and troubleshooting of complete End-to-End solutions in a Multi-vendor Set-up.
  • Prepare acceptance tests and handover to customer.
  • Ability to work with and manage customer-specific solutions and products (incl. 3rd-party products).
  • Provide Solution Support including handling of Helpdesks and Customer Support Requests.
  • Participation in 24h Emergency Support.
  • Identification and development of Add-on-Sales business and further opportunities during the entire process, in order to contribute to cost savings or enhanced sales results.
  • Follow-up on delivered products and solutions with the customer, in order to keep up with the life cycle development of the implemented customer solution.
  • Active participation in knowledge sharing through regular contributions.
  • Identify and drive improvements.


  • Technical degree typically focusing on communication engineering/IT or an equivalent qualification acquired through professional training and additional job-related experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as Integration Engineer (or a comparable role).
  • Very good knowledge and background of IMS Solutions on node and network level.
  • Experience in maintenance and monitoring of TSP and IS platforms is beneficial.
  • Good background in SIP and all IP technologies.
  • Highly customer and service oriented with a very consultative way of working.
  • Works independently in a service- and target-oriented manner within defined areas
  • Is able to assume responsibility for the scope, risk and change management in customer projects
  • Business minded and highly flexible team player.
  • Language skills:
    • Good spoken and written English skills.
    • German knowledge.
