Cost Engineer for project in chemical construction requiredFor my international client I am currently looking for a cost engineer who is experienced in handling construction projects from a cost orientated perspective.
Main duties
- Reporting to Project manager
- Ensures monitoring and forecasting of the total project cost, covering E/EPC contracts as one major project or as various smaller projects, in co-operation with thhe Project management team so that the project may be executed within the monetary budgets sets for the project
- take action before a cost overrun of a budgeted item occurs
- recommend alternatives to reduce costs
- Cost control covers home office services, field supervision, subcontracts, commissioning, materials & equipment supply, etc
- Ensures an understanding of standard techniques and methods of cost control and of cost reporting as a basis for establishing the man-hours, computer cost and other expenses to be carried out or to complete these activities.
Qualifications
- German technical college (FH): bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with dvanced courses in cost engineering (or equivalent)
- Fluent in written and spoken German
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- 3+ Years of experience as a Cost engineer in engineering & contracting, or in
- Working knowledge of:
- project execution
- engineering & design documents
- procurement
- construction

Duration: 4 Months
