Test Lab Architect (Cloud/Data Centre)
My Client, a global ICT solutions provider is currently looking for an experienced Test Lab Architect to join their team to help them establish/Design their Cloud Labs, and thereby connecting all their R&D Labs around the world which in turn would allow their users to access the Labs remotely via the cloud.
As the Test Lab Architect, you will also provide input into the overall operational process and support requirements that ensures a stable, secure, and managed lab network infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work at the client's R&D centre which is mainly responsible to the advanced technical research, architecture evolution design and strategic technical planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide the client with Cloud Lab Planning & Architecture Design
- Provide network design solutions for a globally accessible R&D network that supports secure anytime - anywhere access to the client's lab resources.
- Develop a centrally managed operational model that can be executed at the local lab level.
- Define the support requirements, resources, skill sets, and processes required to maintain a secure high efficiency network infrastructure.
- Provide specific local design requirements as required.
Requirements
- Over 10 years' experience in lab planning, network design and architecture within a global test lab or data centre environment.
- In-depth understanding of test lab architecture, tools, and access requirements.
- In-depth understanding of network operational practices required to support a very dynamic development environment.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate efficiently with designers, developers, researchers, testers and stakeholders in geographically dispersed locations.
- Excellent diplomatic and communication skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- International travel required.
