Start:
Duration: 3 months + extension
Locations: Bonn + and other locations

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support the Senior System Analyst with his work. Therefore a very technical, hands-on person is needed.
Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer is the technical engineer responsible for hands on implementing converged network solutions, in alignment with the solution architecture.
Provide support to the Senior Engineer in all activities related to the Wide Area Network/Cisco Network, (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Routing, Switching, the entire Network infrastructure)
Writing detailed network specifications
Perform hands-on configurations and being accountable for network technical deliverables.
Solve complex network problems by taking a broad perspective to identify innovative technical solutions.
Implementation (eg, installation, configuration, programming/customization, integration, network migration).
Communicating effectively with all levels of co-workers.
Required Skills:
Network monitoring and reporting, Video Conferencing, L2 & L3 switching, Routing for LAN, WAN and MAN solutions. Fluent with network protocols, OSI model, packet analysis, CIDR and L2/L3 configurations.
General IT knowledge: Network systems design, computer operating systems and utilities, project management, risk management, network security, cost management, implementation and start-up of new business processes and computerized systems as it relates to information services
Cisco Certification CCNA or higher preferred.
Knowledge of Network and Telecommunication's cabling (Cat5E, Cat6A, Fiber Optics, etc.) specifications and installation best practices.
Knowledge of Wireless LAN, specifications and installation, Cisco WLC's, Prime and ISE
Exceptional technical expertise in data (and voice) network technology.
Breadth and depth of functional, technical, and process knowledge.
Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through college level education.
Bachelors' degree in relevant field preferred.
5+ years' experience defining complex network solutions with extensive hands-on experience.
Fluent English spoken and written
ITIL knowledge
Ability to travel
Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions.
Nice to have experience
Experience with voice and video network solutions (MS Lync)
