for a Business Analyst / Information Architect (f/m) in the Insurance Environment
Project environment
A Swiss Insurance Company is looking for an information architect for a 4 month contract (renewable). The Insurance Company has kicked off an IETV project to integrate the production of traditional valuations (e.g. Local Stat and US GAAP) and economic valuations (e.g. EVM and Solvency II) based on a common “baseline record”. This is a cornerstone to achieve the goal of 5-day-close, i.e. the closing of individual legal entities and branches a mere 5 working days after the end of a financial period. Finance IT is currently in the process to select an IT lead and respective IT team member for this project. In addition, Finance IT has started the hiring process for an overarching information architect to support the Finance Reinsurance projects bundled in the ATLAS program. The IETV project has an immediate need for a dedicated IT counterpart (information architect).
Tasks
• Business analysis services focusing on conceptual and functional data modelling in the areas of Asset Management and Reinsurance, requirements elicitation for development of design and options.
• Liaison with the Finance project team to understand and translate their requirements into meaningful concepts for IT.
• Documentation of how data models of P&C (PER/EVS), L&H (FiRE) and Asset Management & Treasury (FAH/AEGIS) are affected by the design of the baseline record concept.
• Knowledge transfer to the IT team currently being staffed.
Requirements
• University degree in one of the following concentrations mandatory: Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Actuary or Mathematics.
• Experience with insurance economic valuation topics and implementation.
• 7-10 years’ experiences with large, global IT project implementations.
• Knowledge and experience in MS Office, data-modeling and testing methodology.
• Accounting or accounting systems experience preferred, both at a conceptual and practical implementation level.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to frame problems and solutions quickly.
• Fluent English mandatory; German preferred but not required.
