Projektbeschreibung:
for our Client we need an NetApp Expert.
Description:
We have a list of server called “content server”. For all these systems we need to know if there are snapshots available on the customers NetApp. Each one of the 10 NetApps has to be checked for this. The source directory of each of the content server is “/e2/chroot”.
Even though the filesystem is 3.2TB large only up to 300GB are actually used.
Anforderungen: ToDoList:
1. The NetApps have to be checked if there is enough free space to hold all this data.
2. Check all NetApps for presence of snapshots and check if everything needed is actually there.
3. If not, a list has to be created containing all server missing snapshots.
4. If there are snapshots, the retention time needs to be checked. The data stored in the snapshots
has to be kept for several years.
5. After discussing the server that have no snapshots with the customer, new snapshots have to be created.
In addition, there are more server to be checked within the next forthcoming weeks, so more work needs be done here in the near future.
