SAP BW/BO Senior Consultant (f/m)
Description:
Our client aims to develop its BI reporting capability and landscape over the next 1-4 years in order to satisfy an increased appetite for BI from the general business community.
Up to now he has developed its reporting solutions in SAP BW predominately capturing ERP Data from 3 SAP systems. Now they are looking to develop the platform to bring other BI tools in. SAP BW Accelerator, Business Objects and Dashboard solutions will be looked at to provide a more comprehensive self service capability for business end users.
The BI platform will be used to integrate other non SAP ERP systems into a robust reporting environment in particular the IBM Maximo Maintenance Management system.
Upcoming Projects are expected to be in the following areas:
Industrialise the BO platform for ERP Reporting, Deliver a BO Maximo reporting capability and other reliability reporting systems such as FRACAS.
Enabling of existing BW reporting in BO universes.
In addition the client is developing a strategy on how to handle the ever increasing data volumes and data exploration demands required to drive data driven decision making in the business.
Tasks:
Analyse business requirements and the current environment.
Provide solution proposal to fulfil the requirements based on the internal standard tools.
The result of the investigation will be a decision paper/design document presenting the proposed solution.
Present results to/get agreement with key stake-holders (Business and IT).
Application support during the implementation phase (low level designs, testing, key user training and support)
Qualifications:
Senior consultant with minimum 8-10 years of working experience in international projects in BI products.
Exposure to multiple, diverse business systems within manufacturing industry, technical configurations, technologies and processing environments
Strong end to end process and functional knowledge in an SAP BW, BWA, BO, Dashboards.
Deep knowledge of optimisation strategies for improving performance of Legacy BW reporting.
Experienced with global BI Project roll outs in both BW and BO (minimum 2 full project life cycles in each) with SAP and Non SAP data sources.
Additional asset: overview on current IT market trends for HANA/Lumira/SAP Predictive Analytics and Data Mining techniques from unstructured and semi structured data sources
Excellent analytic, leadership, communication and change management skills.
