for a Global Intercompany Accountant (f/m)
Project environment
The business unit (BSRC IC) of a global Swiss bank performs its role by coordinating processes regarding Intercompany transactions, facilitating communication flows between the different Business Groups and providing relevant information to senior management based on a core mandate by GAC.
They reconcile ca. 460 LEs (IC consolidation relevant are CPT 510 until 710) from WD0 until WD10 across the globe in various time zones and based on the input of different ledgers (GGL, GEAR etc.); the strict timelines must be met to ensure the correct SNB and FINMA reporting's (starring from WD11 onwards) followed by the IC elimination process.
The business unit also acts as a competence centre for all Intercompany related issues (defined in a RACI between BSRC, GAC and FAC).
BSRC IC is the main contact in respect of all queries by the internal and external auditors about IC relevant transactions and the consolidation process.
Tasks
• Team objective is to facilitate closing of the books, via clearance of inter and intra breaks to agreed levels.
• Co-ordinate and track the IC break resolution process based on the official thresholds.
• Investigation and clearance of IC breaks timely coordinated to the GCRS closing schedule.
• Prepare and send out Group Intercompany Report on a monthly basis.
• Provide adequate metrics and assurances.
• Investigation and clearance of IC related P&L, B/S, Off B/S and L&F mismatches from WD1 until WD12.
• Intra Entity reconciliation and break clearance in coordination with GAC, RAC and PC.
• Inform Entity Controllers as to daily IC break status.
Requirements
• Profound and comprehensive accounting knowledge and skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
