Are you an expert in Clinical Demand and Operational Planning/ Clinical Supplies? Then you are the right person for this job!We are searching a FREELANCE Clinical Supplies Manger/ Demand & Operational Planning Lead for our client in South Germany. You should bring along the following skills:
Your responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment in the set-up of the particular medication management strategy for a clinical trial. Actively contributes to the optimization of the general supply chain planning for development projects.
- Tactical and strategic comparator purchase planning
- Participationin the budgeting process and optimization the planning information flow
- Generation of distribution plans for investigational medicinal products through strategic balancing of supply vs. distribution costs
- Review of actual enrollment and inventory data. Update of the distribution plan based on actual recruitment/demand for ongoing studies. Suggests initial logistic load & optimal shipping and resupply parameters in IRT, Reviews and updates IRT supply parameter dynamically over study lifetime
- Communication and update CTSM & Clinical Trial Team on actual recruitment vs. allowed variability from planned recruitment based on supply planning;
- Trigger shipments of clinical trial supplies from central depot to regional hubs and local depots in IRT
- Tracks shipment and release status and follows-up with distribution vendors and local hub/depot contacts. Defines optimal shipping lot size per hub/depot considering distribution costs vs. material cost, overage and shipping lead times
- Establishes KPIs for the distribution chain and actively monitors assigned projects against KPIs.
- Manages shelf life planning and extensions of shelf-life in the entire distribution chain
- Applies simulation tools to drive optimal clinical supply planning, adequately supports Interactive Response Technology (IRT) studies
- Creates, reviews and updates the demand plans based on strategic elements/study forecasts for studies and/or programs
Your Background:
- Education: Degree in scientific or relevant discipline
- Languages: Fluent English (oral and written) required; fluent in German desirable
- 3 - 5 years experience in Clinical Supply Operations
- Organization and planning skills
- Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates track record of creativity and problem solving in projects.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of clinical supply systems and specialized tools including IVRS/ IRT.
- Ability to work in international and interdisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of relevant GxPs as well as applicable multinational regulations.
