Shopfloor Modernisation IT Project Manager
Overview
Robust PM; fluent in both German and English language. Strong stakeholder management and core project skills; risk, change/scope, budget, plan and quality. Working 3 weeks per month in Germany and 1 week per month in UK (Derby). Strong multiple-vendor management skills which have been demonstrated recently in a project environment.
Key Accountabilities
Used to working with outsourced technical resources and multiple vendors in the delivery, project execution space across both infrastructure and application deployment. n Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and safe execution of project(s), actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks and issues to the success of the project
Owns the overall integrated project plan for delivery, accountable for estimation of Rolls-Royce delivery activities and liaises with the System Integrator to ensure successful delivery of the project to the agreed terms of reference
Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate
Responsible for, and monitors, the costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria
Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors
Actively represents the project team, reporting to agreed review bodies as appropriate and confidently dealing with questions raised
Manages key stakeholders, especially on the business side, managing expectations and issues effectively and securing business confidence in IT project delivery Has a good understanding of business change management and ensures that business buy-in is as much a measure of success as technical delivery
Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and actioned. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes
Evaluates and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate
Manages third parties to produce defined deliverables within agreed costs and timescales, managing dependencies between Rolls Royce and third parties.
