We are looking for two experienced UNIX experts who will support us in the continuous automation, scaling and further development of our software-defined data centers.As members of our DevOps teams you will share responsibility for the complete life cycle of a service, from automated installation of the operating system and virtual machines up to building and monitoring the applications, and incident handling. Maximum availability and utmost security have major priority in this context.
The requirements:
You have a university degree or completed vocational training in the technical industry. The ideal candidate can look back on at least three years of work experience and has a good command of Unix/Linux. You are well familiar with the standard script languages and automation technology, and confident with Internet applications. Assuming responsibility for systems is what you are looking for. You are open to experimenting with new ideas and like to improve what has become established. Agile development and working methods thus are not unknown to you. And of course you are fluent in written and spoken English.
We are working in self-organized agile teams and with modern tools and technologies. These include CentOS/Linux, VMWare, vCenter, XENServer, CFengine, PostgreSQL, Subversion, Apache Webserver, Splunk, Zabbix and Jenkins CI.
