Video Solution Engineer, Digital Multi Media Music, Broadcast, Set top Boxes, Embedded, TV, Mobile.If you have a keen interest in multimedia music and video products then we would be keen to hear from you as we have a great opportunity for a Video Solution Engineer to work in a global digital media company in Munich.
For this role we will also welcome a candidate who has just recently graduated with 1-2 years experience with Global Broadcast network standards.
The ideal candidate should;
- Be eligible to work in Germany. This means you must be a current EU passport holder OR possess a valid work permit for full time work in Germany and the EU.
- Have excellent written and oral business communication skills in German and English. Any further European languages would be favourable.
- Have an academic background in Computer Science.
- Have a software engineering background with knowledge of the Embedded and Server based systems.
- Have experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Have experience in dealing with international customers with varying business cultures.
- Have a keen interest in emerging technologies especially around the digital content domain.
The Role;
This position is customer facing and you will need to demonstrate excellent (external) communication skills, organizational expertise, and the ability to proactively resolve issues and potential problems.
Qualifications
- B.S. Computer Science with 1 to 4 years of experience developing embedded and server applications/systems.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent follow-through regarding project tasks and open issues.
- Programming Languages of interest: Java, PHP, C, C++.
- Platforms: Android, Windows, Linux, iOS.
- Fluent in written and spoken German, English and one of the languages French, Spanish and Italian.
- Enthusiasm about multimedia music and video products.
- This position will require travel in Europe and internationally, though travel is not expected to exceed 25% of total time.
Desired qualifications;
- Experience and knowledge of Global Broadcast network standards including DVB-T/S/C, ISDB-T/S/C, ATSC.
- Experience in developing client software applications implementing data services for EPG, VOD and Catch-up TV userExperience in developing Mobile Applications (Android or iOS) would be beneficial.
- Experience in audio or video content recognition technologies would be beneficial.
- Experience with metadata delivery platforms for Digital Video and EPG content.
- Experience with database concepts and technologies such as Oracle, Mysql or PostgreSQL.
- Strong digital media experience is a plus.
