For one of our clients we are looking for a Systems Engineer (m/f) - Temporary employment- Work as part of a service specific engineering team to design, deploy and support 24x7x365 operations
- Collect the requirements and Designing, building and deploying high availability, robust, resilient and supportable solutions
- focusing on the infrastructure and operational elements of designing and deploying a service
- Work as part of a virtual team of engineers responsible for defining and driving technology standards
- Develop scripts/tools to ensure a streamlined/automated application deployment
- Use backup and recovery best practices to ensure critical systems are protected from data loss
- experience in Large Scale Computing & Services Operations
- Confident Presentation Skills
Experience with:
- Globally distributed Data Centres
- Operating Systems including Redhat and/or CentOS Linux
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services or Private Cloud solutions
- Network technologies such as routers, firewalls, switches and load balancers
- Deployment Tools: CVS, Subversion, Clearcase and Puppet (at least one tool)
- Databases and caches, mainly Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, Memcache systems
- Operational monitoring environments such as Nagios, HP SIM, Splunk and Keynote
- Agile & SCRUM methodologies
- Familiarity with one or more of the following web technologies:
Apache or Tomcat
HTML/CSS/Javascript
REST APIs
Open source libraries
