Task:Scope of the service is: A high customer visibility DC move to a different DC location.
Today 2 DCs in Essen host the systems from OGE (both are in Essen), one DC is shared with EON.
The systems in the shared DC must move to a different DC location in 2014.
OGE has a complex and critical system environment (app. 550 systems in both DCs).
Based on a first price calculation for budgeting from HP, OGE ordered a detailed concept to start the planning?s. Next step after the detailed concept is the DC move project.
Because of the high visibility/focus of this project and the impact of the future business with the customer, a specialist from HP is required who has experiences with planning and delivering of system moves.
Requirements (Must have):
The above mentioned services need to be performed by OGE experienced personnel
OGE (Open Grid Europe located in Essen) is a spin off. The TMO phase is finished end of 2013.
PMP / Prince2 Certification
Undergraduate degree Computer Science, Information Technology/Services, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent combination education or experience).
More than 20 years of experience in the IT Outsourcing and Services.
Ability to Lead/Manage effectively in diverse, foreign and multi-cultural environments, Country, Regional or Global Level. Complex organizational and technical environments.
Organizational Interface Management: Actively bridges technical and business cultures and perspectives to promote cross-organizational collaboration
Information Management Acumen (IT): Demonstrates fundamental understanding of information management systems and infrastructure
Demonstrated success working effectively under short timeframes and significant pressure.
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
Master of one or more service domain(s)
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Project Management skills
German native, English fluent
Long time experience in infrastructure / DC environment projects to understand technical complexity and problems. Because of the complex environment at OGE (Open Grid Europe ? customer), a minimum of ten years experiences is a must.
Excellent project management skills (Senior Project Manager); able to coordinate international teams in complex environment.
Flexibility to coordinate DC moves over the weekend
Good knowledge of existing OGE IT infrastructure
Able to read/write technical concepts in German
Good knowledge of HP internal processes, i.e. procurement process
Fluent German language, because meetings with customer and concept language are in German
Proven technical knowledge:
Deep knowledge of customer business application ?Daisy/EBIS?
Proven experience as project manager in physical data center moves in projects with more than 300 systems and one year period. Infrastructure:
