Our client is currently looking for a Software Developer (m/f) Python for a project in Berlin.Project Description:
Operate a self-built framework and system to manage the datacenter. This application covers the hardware inventory (cmdb), configuration of all underlaying services like dhcp, dns, loadbalancer, switches, etc. It also provisions systems from bare-iron up to fully operational with almost no user intervention. Need to refactor the code and afterwards need to extend it for some more features as being able to create/destroy virtual machines and implementing a rule engine to automate even more. Additionally it need to be hooked up to the puppet 3.2 api.
Qualifications:
* Linux Systems Administration experience
* Puppet api experience
* Experience coding against a VMWare API (eg pysphere)
Bonus points for strong experience with any of the following:
* Experience with Puppet facts (ruby)
* Experience working in distributed teams
* Experience writing web interfaces
Required languages: good written and spoken English & German
