Project: Distributed Server and Storage Implementation Europe.The Server and Storage Planning and Implementation Analyst is a highly qualified expert on server implementations for operating systems Windows, Linux and ESX. Work pattern is during normal daytime business but also includes extra hours during data migrations and switch over phases. The DSSP Server and Storage Analyst is responsible for the planning and implementation of server and storage infrastructure in Europe, Middle East and Africa within the context of global services, processes and tools. He/she contributes to the evaluation of new technologies and standards. This includes distributed sites, e.g. Ford and Joint Ventures manufacturing sites, National Sales Offices, FCSD depots, PD as well as central sites in Cologne and Dunton.
Anforderung:
? acting as a member of the DSSP team responsible for planning and implementation of server and storage solutions across the Ford Motor Company in EMEA.
? liaising with Enterprise Architects and related groups in the infrastructure implementation process to ensure alignment with global standards, practices and processes.
? liaising with peer groups globally (Global Fullfilment Planning /Implementation US, PMO Team in Europe, Backup and Database teams).
? representing DSSP in global reviews, e.g. Buildability, Hosting Infrastructure Reviews and similar
? acting as an interface between architects and IT engineering on one side and the customer on the other side
? rolling out ITIL/ITSM services and processes for remaining distributed sites
? maintaining a wide technical knowledge of respective current and future technologies in the interests of FMC.
? ensuring adherence to Ford policies and national regulations/standards and supporting audits
Degree: any degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent skills
Technical Skills (Must Have):
? Project management skills
? Windows server administration
? Windows server operating systems, Win2K3/Win2K8
? Linux O/S
? Fluent English
? Fluent German
Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
? Ford experience
? NAS storage administration
? ESX virtualization
