We are looking for an experienced Data Warehousing Solution Designer to assist in making the first steps in design and construction of the new Data Warehousing system and the transition from the existing Data Warehousing solutions, to work at our multinational organisation in Bonn/Germany, some remote work will be possible.
The consultant should have experience in working in a project environment as well as developing and coordinating peer reviews of voluminous technical documentation.
Our client is a multinational organisation/EN-speaking environment.
Location: Bonn, Germany and some remote work will be possible.
Start: As soon as possible,
Initial contract: 2 months.
Activities & scope
The Data Warehousing Solution Designer has to analyse the current data-warehouse and recommend a way ahead for the new data warehouse, as described below. He/she has to describe his/her recommendations with options for possible migration strategies.
Specifically:
SKILLS
- A minimum of three years of commercial experience in Data warehousing;
- Other experience in IT as an Analyst Programmer or database administrator and/or data modeller for a minimum of 4 years;.
- Experience analysing, designing, developing and implementing Data Warehousing solutions based on Oracle 10g OLAP
- Experience in platform transition of Data Warehousing solutions
- Conversion of Oracle Olap to a MS SQL SSAS or vice versa
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (optional)
Additional Skills and Qualifications
- Good command of oral and written English
- Excellent drafting and writing skills
- MS skills desirable
