Storage Engineer- HP/NetApp/EMC/Hitachi/Cisco/SAN/NAS/DAS
Inspire are looking for a Storage Engineer to work on site with one of our global technology clients in Germany. The successful Engineer will be focussing on the application of data storage technologies, to meet the day-to-day needs of clients' application environments. The environments will include Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Direct Attached Storage (DAS) and will provide expertise in the application of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) principles to data protection regulations.
Consultants will therefore have the following Technical Skills;
Solid Storage Systems (HP, NetApp, EMC, Hitachi) and Storage Networking (Cisco, HP, Brocade) implementation, support, pre-sales support and hands on installation experience.
Will possess expert knowledge in or more of the following and strong knowledge in all other areas of: SAN, NAS, DAS, Fiber Channel, FCIP, FCoE, Data Replication, Backup to Disk, NDMP, RAID protection
You will be responsible for operations and escalation of issues to the storage environment.
You will oversee the backup, recovery and archiving of the data.
Excellent level of internetworking troubleshooting in medium and large-scale storage environments.
Independently develops plans, coordinates and executes tasks.
Understanding of SAP application architectures and storage requirements.
