For our client in the Amsterdam area we are searching for a Project Manager - Advent Geneva (m/f)

Project Context:

For our client, an Asset Management Organisation, we’re looking for a high caliber Data Migration Project
Manager. The Data Migration Lead will ensure that the Data Management best practices are implemented to
ensure successful migration of data from the current to the new fund accounting solution. Experience with data
migration(s) with investment fund accounting software Advent Geneva is a must.
The initial focus of the role will be to develop and define the to-be Data migration Strategy and Logical Data
Model ensuring these align to the to-be process maps for the core scope of the overall implementation strategy.
The Data Migration Lead will be responsible for mapping all data items to the relevant business processes and
then driving continuous improvement initiatives to deliver robust and efficient data across all assets and data
involved in fund accounting and fund administration. The role will suit an individual who is not afraid to challenge
the teams involved and has a detailed understanding of Data Management and Data Migration best practice.
This role will be imperative in ensuring that the project delivers its data migration strategy successfully. This will
involve accountability for directly improving the quality of the current operational data to minimize issues in the
migration processes. The role holder will lead (among others) a team of Data Analysts and Testers and should
ensure that any data quality issues are identified, logged and analysed prior to the migration period.
This role will have need to work closely with various departments and teams involved in the implementation of the
new software to ensure the impacts of data migration have been considered and understood across these areas.

Responsibilities:
• Own overall data migration project governance and implementation;
• Define a solid data migration plan based on best practice;
• Establish project governance and communication plans with assistance from the program manager and
project sponsors;
• Identify project risks and create mitigation plans;
• Define and implement standards for every phase during the migration period;
• Define and implement data quality from business and IT perspective;
• Define and implement robust testing during every phase of the migration;
• Facilitate communication ensuring timely responses, problem resolution and risk mitigation;
• Conduct resource planning and coordinate various resources requirements;
• Delegate tasks to appropriate team members;
• Lead team and provide necessary feedback, escalate issues when needed;
• Review and ensure the overall quality of the data migration and project execution;
• Prepare presentation, status reporting and lead meetings;
• Coordinate smooth transition to Customer BAU

Requires Skills & Experience:
• Degree within Computer Science/ Information Systems or related degree preferred;
• Previous experience in a Data Migration / implementation role at a financial company;
• PMI certification or related project management training preferred;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead role implementing investment fund accounting software ;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Access and MS Project;
• Knowledge of StatPro/SimCorp Dimension/World Investors/PAM/Advent Geneva/ Multifonds /Portia or
other Investment Accounting software;
• Strong level of knowledge with Investment Accounting Software implementation process;
• Theoretical insight and practical understanding of back, middle and front office processing;
• Technical expertise with Investment Accounting software;
• Solid understanding of data and data quality
• Solid know how and understanding of testing
• Very good understanding of the relevant functional areas:
o Settlement and Back Office processes
o Investment and Fund Accounting
o Client Accounting
o Financial Instruments
• Commitment to customer and service orientation;
• Strong planning, organisational and coordination skills as well as the ability to encourage selfmanagement
of the employees.

Duration: 1,5 - 2 years, (rolling on 3 months)
Location: Amsterdam area, (willingness to travel frequently)
