Background
Our client is a specialist in the development of Satellites. They are currently looking for a Power Systems Engineer to work on a new satellite programme for the European Space Agency. The satellite will be focused on electric propulsion.
Tasks
Power subsystem engineering of a project for development and integration of a geostationary satellite.
Definition and development of the power subsystem including definition of the verification philosophy on subsystem level and specification of test requirements
Co-ordination with the systems team
Management of subcontractors and hardware suppliers.
Overall responsibility for all power related project activities, ensuring technical quality as well as
schedule and budget compliance on subsystem level
Leading a group of power project engineers
Direct reporting to the project avionics technical responsible.
Key Skills
Degree in electrical engineering, space technology, physics or a relevant qualification.
Professional experience in the space industry or in space projects as electrical power subsystem engineer, power project engineer or in similar technical position.
AIT project experience would be of advantage. Experience with a DLR/ESA or commercial satellite development project.
You are accustomed to work in teams.and have excellent communication, conceptual and analytical skills.
Fluency in the English language is required, German would be an asset.
