Senior Web Operations Engineer - Linux/Solaris/MySQL/Puppet/MongoDB/Tomcat/OpenStack - Berlin, Germany
Major consultancy based near Berlin requires an experienced Senior Web Operations Engineer with a strong background in Linux/Solaris/MySQL/Puppet/MongoDB/Tomcat/OpenStack. The successful candidate will be highly focused on adapting lean & agile development practices, constantly looking for ways to automate, & develop systems to ensure that our work delivers quick & apparent value, developing application level monitoring (logstash, statsd, graphite) & closely integrating with Product Development to expose useful information & dealing with a robust puppet ecosystem that includes over 1000 Servers, in testing & production environments & makes use of complex puppet concepts like exported resources (Your experience should be long, deep & recent.)
MUST HAVE at least 8 years of UNIX Systems Administration experience, 2 years + of working on large Java based websites (>10 million unique visitors per month) alternated >2 years building private clouds & dealing with modern infrastructure provisioning technologies that mix physical & virtual machines, Scripting languages, experience in Linux &/or Solaris system administration on a large scale (100+ server), experience with configuration management systems, ie FAI, Chef or Puppet.
