Aufgaben:
- Highly focused on adapting lean and agile development practices to Site Operations
- Constantly looking for ways to automate, and develop systems to ensure that our work delivers quick and apparent value
- Developing application level monitoring (logstash, statsd, graphite) and closely integrating with Product Development to expose useful information
- Dealing with a robust puppet ecosystem that includes over 1000 servers, in testing and production environments and makes use of complex puppet concepts like exported resources (Your experience should be long, deep and recent)
- Improve our continuous deployment systems and processes
- Continuous improvement of our lean processes (Kanban)
- Building a new infrastructure layer that allows provisioning of physical and virtual systems to a wide array of internal customers with a diverse set of requirements. Most likely using OpenStack
- Designing, testing and improving highly available multi-data center active/active clusters
- Developing a deeper understanding of MySQL
Skills:
- >8 years of UNIX Systems Administration experience
- >2 years of working on large java based websites (>10 million unique visitors per month) alternated >2 years building private clouds and dealing with modern infrastructure provisioning technologies that mix physical and virtual machines
- Strong command over one more scripting languages
- Experience in Linux and/ or Solaris system administration on a large scale (100+ server)
- Experience with configuration management systems, i.e. FAI, Chef or Puppet
- Proven communication skills – can you draw pictures to explain your ideas?
- Strong desire to continuously learn, adapt and improve
- Experience working in larger teams (>5 people) who manage a wide verity of technologies
- in advantage: Solaris Global Zones; Virtualization: OpenStack, KVM, VMware
? Storage: NetApp; Proxy servers: Varnish; Application environment: Java, Jetty, Tomcat; Databases: MySQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, SOLR, Elastic Search; Low level infrastructure components: Postfix, Bind, Central User Management; Experience documenting, mapping and explaining complex web environments
