We are looking for our client a big financial institution London/Frankfurt for a Software Engineer Informatica/Oracle with the following skills:
Tasks
- Design, Develop and Maintain Informatica mappings.
- Implementation and Testing of new index concepts/families/rules, implementation and testing of new interfaces, Data modelling
- Maintain, operate and monitor already implemented and productive processes, mappings & workflows.
- Lease with the counterparts to understand the functional requirements and convert it to technical implementation with the defined standards
- Document the implementation; Support various ongoing testing and project activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Expert level of knowledge & hands on with Informatica Power Center
- Expert knowledge of Oracle (SQL and tuning) & Data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge on Linux Shell Scripting
- Expert knowledge of Dimensional & ER data modelling (Power designer)
- Know-how on BI reporting (MicroStrategy, Jasper) would be an added advantage
- Know-how on Java, C++ and Mathematica would be an added advantage
- Strong interest in financial markets & index business
- Ability to work across different projects
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle tasks with a minimum of supervision, in a time-efficient manner
- Experience software development cycle and quality management
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with indices (market data, concepts, etc.) and index implementation would be an added advantage
- Willingness to undertake shift work and on-call duty
- Good communication & writing skills
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English, knowledge of German is desirable
Assignment Details
Kind of Assigment: Fulltime
Location: London. The introduction period of 3 to 4 month will be in Eschborn (Germany)
Duration: ASAP until 31.12.2013, with option of extension.
