Proteus Europe operating as an employment business, is currently seeking a Function Owner for a contract role in the automotive industry with one of our well-known automotive customers.The role is varied and depending on your level of expertise and expectations you can either demonstrate your professional skills to a global player in the area of "Connected Navigation" (navigation services linked online in a vehicle) or at "Core Services and Online Security" (standardized basic communication using the wireless interface between vehicle and IT-Backend as well as between vehicle and smartphones).
The responsibilities of this role are as follows:
* You act as an interface with the production department, development and management
* You are responsible for all project-related communication between customer, company and suppliers
* You autonomously gather all information needed by attending meeting
* Creation, maintenance and transfer of functional requirements in DOORS
* You bring functional specifications and implementation details into agreement with the
Suppliers
* You are also responsible for the verification of the implementation
As a function owner you should have:
* A completed degree in e.g. (Technical) Information Science, Computer Science, Embedded Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
* Very good practical knowledge in the field of web-based applications and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML 5, XML, Web Services)
* Work experience in Java and Smartphone-Apps would be an advantage
* You have very good specification competency
* Several years of practical experience in the automotive industry
* 1-2 years of project experience
* You have a good working knowledge of MS Office and DOORS
* A certain willingness to attend business trips abroad would be an advantage- their extent though may vary depending on the project
* You have excellent communication skills, are assertive and are able to put your requirements in a nutshell
* Time management and prioritization skills are among your key strengths
* You're highly motivated and eager to learn new things
