The Project Security Officer (PSO) is responsible for the compliance of projects with information security standards, guidelines, and policies (eg, secure coding guidelines, architecture principles) over their entire life cycle, as well as supporting design and implementation of specific information security solutions.
- Ensuring implementation of information security guidelines and standards in all services and across all projects
- Participating as stakeholder in project steering committees
- Defining the overall information security concept in projects, incl. protection requirement analysis, IT risk assessment and design specifications
- Ensuring and confirming compliance with information security standards, guidelines and policies over the entire project life cycle, including adaptation of those to the specific project context
- Defining and controlling check points and quality gates
- Directing and consulting the project in the selection and implementation of applications, systems and tools from an information security point of view
- Managing the interface to the information security organization (especially to the Information Security Officer), as well as representing the project in information security matters
- Planning and controlling project-specific activities and resources related to information security, including setup of an information security organization for the entire duration of the project
Requirements:
Compulsory:
- University degree (primarily in computer science or natural sciences)
- At least 3 years of working experience in IT
- Excellent know-how of IT systems, security architecture and processes, in at least two fields out of server technology, network infrastructure, workplace & telecommunications, Mainframe, application development
- Substantial know-how of IT security technology
- Experience with ISO2700x, BSI Grundschutz or other relevant security standards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as self-organization
- Highly motivated to cooperate in a multi-cultural and diverse environment
- Capability to cope with high work load and pressure, and ability to deal with conflicts
- Project management experience and/or basic leadership skills
- Strong analytical mind, pragmatic approach to solving problems
- Fluent in German and English
