Task:Be responsible for the IP network design of Customers Data Service solutions hosted in Data Centers in various locations in Germany. Support Mobile Data Service product introduction as IP designer and project planner. Identify need for technical evolution of the existing network solution, draft proposals for maintenance projects and co-ordinate their implementation.
Specifically, the technical tasks are to:
- analyse network requirements coming from new Mobile Data Service
Integration projects or from network maintenance demand (end-of-life
replacement, design optimisation, etc).
- design a network integration and extensively document it in "Product Network Design"
and "System Network Design" documents. All documentation is in English!
- align the network design with the system architects, Security, Transport Network
Planning, Testing and Operations.
- Work out switch, router, load balancer and firewall configurations
- document configuration in the relevant Configuration Management Database.
- support the evaluation of these configurations in the Customers test facilities
- work out migration concepts for the Customers Live Network
- place Change Requests to Operations (no change execution done by yourself, no
write-access to any Live Network system) using a Work Order Management tool.
- co-ordinate and troubleshoot the execution of Change Requests.
- co-ordinate entire maintenance projects in the Customers Mobile Data Serivces data
centers, starting from project initiation until final delivery including project reporting.
- be the Planning Project Lead in Mobile Data Service Integration projects.

Experience in design, deployment and taking into operations of IP network elements in data centers (VPN`s, VLAN, Load Balancer, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load-Balancer), especially in existing production environments - required level +++
Experience as pure IP Network Designer, not Operator - required level +++
Experience with Cisco network components on CCNP level - required level +++
Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls on Crossbeam - required level +
Languages: English and German fluent
Soft skills required:
- high communication skills, enjoy interaction with people from the various
T-Mobile functions in Germany or abroad
- high ability to deal with complex processes and responsibility split
- high self-management ability when working on 5 to 10 projects at a time.
- strong dedication to working as a designer with documents, reviews, meetings,
Change Requests, but without write-access to network components.
