A Global Top 10 Brand with offices in 25 countries currently seeks a highly skilled and dynamic Network Security Architect.This role is designed to provide consultancy to the IT Network team on Security of the network, designing solutions in some cases, provide thorough review in others cases. A key responsibility is to ensure a single vision on Network Security in Enterprise Networks and Datacentres. To also lead the attempts to create Security Standards and Guidelines which are adopted company wide.
The individual will drive security from being an inhibiter to a differentiator and work tirelessly to evolve the common perception of security.
Essential Skills
- 5 Years of Experience in Network Engineering at Large Enterprise, Hosting Company or Service Provider
- Degree in Computer Science, Data/Information Technology, Engineering or similar
- Professional Security/Networking Qualification (like CISSP, CEH, CCIE, JNCIS, CCSE/CCMA)
- Excellent communication capabilities to provide rapid and concise summaries of complex scenarios
- Proven track of experiences in the area of Enterprise network technologies (WIFI, VPN, Virtualised Data Centre, Cloud Computing)
- Sound understanding of project management
- Strong communication skills
- Work experience in a global organization Excellent TCP/IP knowledge and understanding of security implications/issues over the OSI model
- Excellent knowledge of typical Network Equipment in the mobile space and good understand of security equipment;
- Firewalls - Checkpoint, Juniper (SRX), Cisco
- IDS/IPS - Juniper, Sourcefire, ISS
- Proxy - Bluecoat, Cyberguard, Bluecoat, Netcontiuum, Radware (load balancers) and application enforcement configuration.
- Security Appliances - Fortinet
- NG-FW - Palo Alto
- Load Balancers - Cisco ACE
- Network Based DLP
- Experience with Proxy platforms, Knowledge of Web protocols including but not limited to HTTP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SIP
- Knowledge of DDoS attack principles and mitigation
- Experience constructing documentation and standards
- Experience in Cloud Computing Environment
