The Country Accountant Germany is responsible to direct and control all financial accounting processes for the company entities in order to ensure compliance with relevant policies & procedures, US GAAP, statutory and fiscal requirements. Working location: Rotterdam!KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* To direct and control the financial accounting activities of the company entities in order to ensure financial statements are reported on time and in compliance, US GAAP, legal, statutory and fiscal requirements.
* To ensure an adequate system of internal controls is implemented/maintained for key accounting processes, in compliance with requirements
* Maintain external audit relationship and secure satisfactory internal and external audit opinions for the German legal entities.
* Month end activities like revaluation & analysing the exchange differences
* Preparation and execution of the monthly reporting activities
* Act as focal point for the local management in Germany
* Act as focal point for the local authorities in Germany
* File proposals for improvement & efficiencies of systems and procedures
* Managing, coaching and motivating the German GL team
SPECIAL FEATURES
* Candidate should be a German GAAP and tax qualified accountant
* Excellent communicative skills
* Accounting experience and skills
* German native speaker
* Excellent knowledge of the English language
