For one of our clients in the banking sector we are looking for an IT System Specialist / Integrator (m/f) (AÜG = Arbeitnehmerüberlassung = German Law on Labour Lending).Tasks and Responsibilities
• The IT systems expert contributes to the technical design, drafts technical specifications of IT systems in line with the architectural design, implements solutions according to the technical specifications
• Participate in the definition of concepts and design of complex UNIX based systems and infrastructure including high availability solutions
• Participate in the design of security policies to the UNIX based systems
• Contribution to IT projects through the lifecycle of IT services and systems, such as technical specifications, evaluation and selection of new products, activity planning and reporting
• Integrates systems, performs technical testing and prepares technical documentation.
• Co-ordination of the development and deployment phase of IT services and systems from IT projects such as preparation, acceptance, integration and rollout to production systems
• Produce technical documentation related to UNIX based systems and services in accordance with operational requirement and release management, transfer knowledge to colleagues and ensure sufficient documentation is available for tasks to be assigned to 1st and 2nd-level support staff.
Knowledge and skills:
• Proven experience in designing, supporting, administering and maintaining mission-critical Windows Server based systems including problem solving, performance tuning and capacity planning
• Excellent knowledge and experience on Windows 2003 and 2008 server
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Scripting
• Excellence in the technologies listed in either of the following groups:
• Citrix Xen App, Citrix Access Gateway, App-V, System Center Configuration Manager, client application packaging, desktop image design, thin clients
• Active Directory, MS SQL Server, System Center Operations Manager
• MS Exchange, SMTP messaging, MS Sharepoint
• Good analytical skills and a problem-solving orientation
• Knowledge of IT Service Management processes and best practice (such as ITIL), in particular in the areas of problem management, release management, capacity planning and service level management
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to work in a team are very important.
• Very good command of English with proven drafting ability
Expertise required
The successful candidate will perform development, testing, integration and maintenance activities in the scope of the implementation of database applications utilising a web-based GUI or Web Service interfaces to other applications.
Knowledge and skills:
• Seven years of proven experience with Oracle Solaris, Oracle RDBMS, with advanced knowledge in Unix scripting and in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with Apache Tomcat installation and configuration
• Experience with building Oracle Solaris packages
• Experience in participating in software development projects
• Five years of proven experience in producing technical and operational documentation
• Five years of experience in dealing with users.
• Experience with performance and integration testing would be an advantage
• Experience with Business Objects or a similar Business Intelligence tools would be an advantage
The candidate should have an advanced university degree in computer science or a field related to IT or at least ten years of professional experience.
Fluent business englisch written/verbal.
