For one of our clients we are currently looking for an Network Architect / Engineer (f/m) based in Berlin.
Project Background:
Network Architect/Engineer required to carry out detailed design and implementation work as part of the core enabling build of two new Data Centres in Colocation facilities. The project will require the management and successful delivery of Core Network Infrastructure deliverables within the new Data Centres, WAN enhancement including upgrades to existing MPLS links, new cross-site links, Internet Access, Remote Access, IIS/Apache Webservices and Firewall Services. Resource must have a demonstrable record of IS network infrastructure delivery, delivering geographically spread complex Data Centre Infrastructure projects. Successful candidates will have a track record of design, installation and support roles on network switching and routing equipment and firewalls
Tasks:
Data Centre network infrastructure detail design and delivery, particularly on Juniper EX4000 and EX8000 series equipment and HP blade system Flexconnect networking
Data Centre SAN infrastructure detail design delivery and operations
Design, delivery, testing, troubleshooting and operations of MPLS and point to point WAN links
Design and implementation of Data Centre stuctured cabling and distribution
Implementation and support of Network security, Firewalls
Implementation of Remote Access technologies
Integration of network equipment management software (esp Juniper) into overall monitoring frameworks
Responsible for:
Taking existing high level designs of network switching and routing, firewalls, and SAN switching, and producing low level designs ready to give to installation teams
Working alongside implementation teams to test and troubleshoot installation
Short term operational support of installed equipment (internally to project team, until acceptance into production operations support is completed
Documenting installations and handing over to operations suppoirt teams
