Our client is currently looking for SAP Netweaver and Business Objects Administration Consultancy Supporter (m/f).Tasks:
-SAP Netweaver and Business Objects Administration Support shall be provided by a consultant (m/f) experienced in providing System Administration Support for SAP NW and BO Systems. The work will be planned and specified in work packages.
Providing Business Objects System Administration support. The detailed tasks
include:
- Manage and Configure SAP Business Objects 4.0 Platform and BO Servers,
- Apply hotfixes
- Manage content and objects in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform
- Secure users and groups in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform
- Manage applications security
- Distribute content using scheduling and alerting
- Perform common server management and administrative tasks in SAP BusinessObjects
- Integration of SAP Business Objects with SAP BW and SAP Portal (i.e. BICS, Universes etc.)
- Troubleshoot SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform
In addition, the consultant (m/f) will be providing System administration support, mostly SAP Authorization Management, including user management, role management, as well as running transports, upon request from the SAP Key User Group. The detailed tasks may include:
- Authorisation and User Management
- Develop and maintain authorisation profiles and roles
- Create/maintain users and their access rights in development and test environments
- Maintain assignment of users to roles (prod, test, dev.)
- Support preparation of Yearly System Licence Report (Licence Audit prep.)
System Administration:
- Define, create, document and execute regular SAP System Administration Tasks (daily, weekly, monthly checks as well as SAP Procedures for specific activities), Carry out transport requests
- Apply SAP Notes to SAP Hosted Software system (non Basis)
- Coordinate the Technical Requests with SAP Hosting
- Define and perform the post-copy tasks after system copy
- Update Documentation
Portal Administration:
- Manage users and their roles in Test and Production Portal
- Create and maintain Portal Roles and support Portal Content Development
- Administrate Enterprise Portal
- Administrate and configure Universal Worklist
Skills:
- Proven experience with tasks involved in supporting users and groups access in SAP BusinessObjects, Business Intelligence platform, preferable version 4.0.
- Proven experience with content and account management in SAP BusinessObjects, Business Intelligence platform
- Familiar with SAP BusinessObjects BI launch pad
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Tools, especially Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of SAP ERP Authorisation Management
- Knowledge of SAP Netweaver (ERP and BW) Basis and Portal Administration
- Knowledge of SAP BW Data Modelling
- Knowledge of SAP Business Objects Reporting Tools (Web Intelligence and Dashboard Designer)
- Basic understanding of ABAP programming language
Languages: The official language is English. However for this position, taking into account the need of relationships primarily with local companies, working knowledge of written and spoken German and English is mandatory.
Location: Darmstadt, but travel within Europe may be required for certain activities.
