My Munich-based client is currently looking to recruit a UNIX/Linux administrator for a contract of minimum 1 year.
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure smooth operation of the Linux/UNIX platforms by monitoring system performance and performing tuning measure.
In addition to this, you will be:
- providing implementation support as well as configuring and operating the linux hardware
- performing system maintenance
- performing system security administration
- perform backup and disaster recover for all UNIX/Linux applications
- performing routine database administration tasks whilst engaging with the DBA team
As the successful candidate, you will have a at least 3 years solid professional experience including Linux/UNIX administration (AIX, SUSE Linux), storage networking with high level disk arrays and tape libraries and writing of Linux/UNIX Shell Scripts.
ITIL foundation or equivalent experience also desirable.
My client is ideally looking for a German-speaker but strong applications from English speakers are also welcome.
