Task:Position:
- Project Manager on a professional services project for the customisation and integration of the mobiliser product suite according to client requirements
- mobiliser is a Java-based transaction platform and business application to enable financial transactions, such as money transfers, international remittance, prepaid top-up, airtime transfer, merchant payment and bill payment, over mobile and other channels.
Responsibilites:
- Plan and manage projects over their entire life-cycle ? possibly multiple sub-projects in parallel
- Act as the primary interface between client project managers
Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders / project participants across locations and time zones to ensure effective communication, issue resolution and decision making
- Monitor project progress and ensure project delivery on time/budget/quality
- Monitor the key project processes, in particular requirements gathering, functional specification, test planning and test execution, and provide high-level quality assurance of the outcomes
- Report status, manage issues and risks
- Manage scope against agreed requirements, manage requirement changes
- Handle issues and escalations from client, third-parties and project participants
- Identify process and communication issues and implement improvements
Requirements (Must have):
Requirements ? indispensible:
- Several years of experience as a project manager on software development / system integration projects in large organizations, preferably in building / customising business applications / transaction systems with a high degree of integration into other systems
- Very good practical knowledge of software delivery life-cycle processes and best practices
- Experience in systematically managing frequently changing requirements
- Ability to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders and drive issues to resolution
- Ability and willingness to actively manage people issues on project (e. g., suboptimal performance, friction between team members, friction between team member and client stakeholders)
- Available for occasional travel abroad (primarily in Europe)
- perfectly german and english language skills
Nice to have:
Requirements ? desirable:
- Solid IT background, preferably in the context of three-tier architectures using a Java application server, Oracle database and web services
- Industry experience in retail banking, telecommunications and/or mCommerce
- Spanish language skills
- Knowledge of both waterfall and agile methodologies
- PRINCE2, PMI or other project management certification
Environment/Miscellaneous:
- The primary work location is Raunheim (near Frankfurt).
