The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment to a large European Financial Institution in Frankfurt.
Our client is seeking a team of both senior and junior operational experts/implementation analysts to support the development of the operational framework.
Main tasks include management and provision of:
- Involvement in the conceptual work surrounding the establishment of the Manual of Operational Procedures. For these activities, experience in developing concepts and structuring work is required.
- Design and analysis of operational processes as well as communication structures, and also the design of incident and contingency procedures.
- The design of the various parts of the Manual of Operational Procedures based on the discussions. For this task, excellent communication and drafting skills are required.
- Supporting the preparation of workshops and meetings including the drafting of minutes and organising the relevant follow-up work. For this activity, good organisational skills and the ability to work without close supervision is strongly required.
- Periodic travel within the EU may be required.
Required experience for senior roles:
- Specific knowledge and experience in conceptual work surrounding the establishment of an operational framework, including methods and practices such as ITIL as follows
- Minimum 8 years' project experience in complex large scale IT projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in conceptual work surrounding the establishment of an operational framework in IT projects
- Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of at least one structured methodology for IT projects, in particular ITIL
- Experience in drafting position papers, procedure guidelines, user manuals, or other project or operational documentation
- Fluent in English and with excellent technical drafting skills in English
- Practical experience in the day-to-day operation of securities settlement, especially post-trade
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the role of a manager of day-to-day operation related to securities settlement
- Minimum 8 years' experience with securities settlement, in particular post-trade
- In-depth knowledge of more than one country specific security settlement system, including one of 3 largest European markets (France, Germany, UK)
Also for senior roles:
- Experience in communication and managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
For junior roles:
- Specific knowledge and experience in conceptual work surrounding the establishment of an operational framework, including methods and practices such as ITIL as follows:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in conceptual work surrounding the establishment of an operational framework in IT projects
- Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of at least one structured methodology for IT projects, in particular ITIL
- Fluent in English and with excellent technical drafting skills in English
Practical experience in the day-to-day operation of securities settlement, especially post-trade:
- Minimum 2 years' experience with securities settlement, in particular post-trade
- In-depth knowledge of more than one country specific security settlement system, including one of 3 largest European markets (France, Germany, UK)
- Excellent drafting skills, eg for preparing chapters and/or meeting outcomes
- Ability to draft comprehensive documents in a structured way
- Ability to prepare concise and structured outcomes of meetings and workshops (both internally and with the clients)
- Organisational skills for preparing workshops and organising the relevant follow-up work.
