Contractor required: RF Systems Engineer Satellite Ground Stations/start October2012/6 Months/Bavaria


The Role:

• Configuartion, operation and maintenance of satellite ground station antenna and sub system
• Responsible for the L-band links over fibre
• Test redundancy equipment on a monthly basis, maintain logs and sufficient spares
• Plan and execute the maintenance of antenna and sub systems
• Daily monitoring and analysis of RF related equipment
• Provide pre sales support to sales and marketing
• Responsible for link budgets and other engineering related to satellite capacity
• Responsible for frequency coordination and updating site certificate with Bundesnetzagentur
• Configuring of RF related equipment in the NMS System
• Check logs in NMS and take necessary action if necessary

Requirements:
• Relevant educational background
• Sound experience in setting up and running satellite ground station antenna and sub systems
• Fluent English and ideally German
• Hands-on mentality
