The Manning Global Group is looking for one of our client, an international leading telecommunications company:-Network and Server Administrator for a project based in Northern Germany
The project will start immediately, the project duration shall be 3-6 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities
Support of the infrastructure team as a Network and Server administrator.
Migration and maintenance of a Nagios based monitoring solution
Task description
• Support of the local engineering team during the daily business to ensure operational stability
• Ensuring that lead time / cases from the ticketing system are handled according to agreed lead times
• Analysis of the existing IP network infrastructure and hardware as base for trouble shooting and fault resolution activities
• Ensuring that all documentation is updated
• Participating in RCAs
• Support and/or driver-ship of pre-studies (e.g. Monitoring, Back-up solutions, Network optimization,
• Migration of the existing Nagios monitoring solution of different test labs towards OP5
Technical Capabilities – knowledge of
• Linux/UNIX Enterprise administration
• LAN service (DNS, DHCP, NTP, …)
• Monitoring Solutions, e.g. Nagios (base of OP5)
• Switches, Router (mainly CISCO)
• IP networking general
• SNMP incl. agent installations
• UNIX scripting (bash, Perl)
• Good to have:
• VMware basic knowledge
• API programming skills
