Would you like to be involved in the ExoMars mission? We are working with a prime contractor to the ESA, who are looking for a Structural Analysis engineer to complete the final structural analysis of the structural items, which include the panels, cleats and struts, to allow the start of manufacturing.
This is a contract role initially untill the end of 2012 potentially longer term and the rate is 55 Euros.
The following experience is required:
Extensive experience in FEM analysis is mandatory. Experience with solver "Nastran" is mandatory, experience with pre-/postprocessor "Hyperworks" is helpful.
Experience in sizing of CFRP structures and in static, dynamic and thermo-elastic analysis
Knowledge within VBA is an asset
The objective for the structural engineer will be to complete the structural analysis of the Exomars MTP (Mechanical, Thermal and Propulsion system) to verify the final design.
Activities
- Global strength & buckling analysis (incl. thermo-elastic analysis)
- Local strength & buckling analysis (cleats, brackets, struts, etc.)
- Insert and fastener verification
- Pointing analysis
- Control of suppliers with respect to structural analysis topics
- Review of documentation
- Review of test campaigns (panels, fasteners, ...)
Participation at design reviews with customers and suppliers
Technical assessment of proposals, RfD, NCR/RfW and CCN
