Skills:
1.) TCP/IP expert for data service optimisation - focus on protocols
A TCP/IP expert with in-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol family and major application protocols to perform optimisation of TCP/IP based services in a mobile network environment. Should know what TCP fast retransmit / fast recovery is good for and tell the difference between a TCP congestion window and TCP send window. Should be able to explain the difference between active and passive FTP, know what a HTTP 504 "gateway timeout" error is and be able to explain HTTP chunked transport encoding. Should be proficient with Wireshark and not be scared to write own evaluation scripts in his programming language of choice to perform custom analysis on .pcap files. Knowledge in mobile network technologies is beneficial but not required.
2.) 2G/3G radio expert for data service optimisation
A 2G/3G radio expert for optimisation of data services in a mobile network. Should be proficient in UMTS Rel.99/HSPA+ RRC, MAC and physical layers and have a profound knowledge in RAN and core network technologies and interfaces. Should know the implications of radio procedures on user plane protocols.
