I am currently looking for an experienced transition analysts/service managers to work on a 12 month project for a German utilities company based in central Germany.
The duties and skills of the successful candidate are as follows:
Main responsibilities:
- ensuring the delivery of infrastructure and environmental requirements of an application development project as required (across development, test, staging and production environments)
- ensuring that all service requirements are delivered and operating correctly before delivered to the live environment
- making sure that the service transition process is communicated and adhered to by the development and production support teams during the transition phase
- acting as the central coordinator and facilitator between the application development, application operations and infrastructure supplier
- facilitating the smooth transition of projects from development into production
- ensuring effective communication between the teams involved
- coordinating and managing key stakeholder expectations for projects across the application development, application operations and infrastructure supplier teams
- providing a focal point for the application and infrastructure supplier teams to ensure the infrastructure requirements are successfully delivered in line with the project timescales
- understanding and owning infrastructure and transition project issues, ensuring that they are managed/resolved to conclusion either by direct influence or by identifying the correct owners
Skills and qualifications:
- Industry standard projct management skills and qualifications
- Degree preferable
- PRINCE 2, ITIL
- Sox compliance
Business Competencies:
- Energy or banking business
- Ability to identify and manage key risks and issues
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Technology Competencies:
- Unix environments
- Windows environments
- Vmware (basics)
- Oracle & MS SQL DB
- Citrix
- Cluster & Failover technologies (basics)
- Extensive previous experience within transition management
- Understanding of operational acceptance testing
- Broad understanding of technologies and methods
- MS Project, Visio & Powerpoint
