OS Linux RedHat System Administrator
Project contribution for the implementation of a security monitoring to mitigate on GRC risk.
SMC (Security Monitoring and Compliance) extension - Application Monitoring scope of work:
- Implementation of a security monitoring on a Web application system stack (Red Hat Linux/Tomcat). Evaluate and define capturing/consolidation of security relevant information (syslog, dedicated app & platform logs) and implement information flow to a RSA base Security Center utilizing SPLUNK. (See Skills & Competences below/scroll down)
Skills & Comptencies:
- OS Linux RedHat System Administration: Advanced/Expert
- Application Server runtime administration (Tomcat or other Java based): Advanced
- Web Server Knowhow (Apache or others): Advanced
- Web Basics (HTTP/XML/SSL etc.): Proficient
- Web System Architecture: Proficent
- SPLUNK application: Proficient
- Security Principles: Proficient
- Network knowledge (Load balancing/Firewall): Basic
- Helpful additional topic/software knowledge: LDAP, MySQL, Hyperic
