Currently, we are looking for one permanent employee, matching the following demands:task description:
Client Support - Work Activities delivering Unix/Linux workstations & Monitors to end user installation of OS on Unix/Linux workstations, based on provided Installation process experience in SUN/Oracle Solaris, RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and SuSe Linux to support/troubleshoot problems trouble shooting and fixing HW problems by e.g. replacing broken parts of Unix/Linux workstations Management System document new procedures/best practices or update existing one in our TWIKI Documentation System
Server Support - Work Activities
System Administration:
- Updating LDAP/NIS entries in the client/server environment
- Updating network information for U/L workstations and servers in TI'sIP
- Extending/restarting/updating existing Web server installations/configurations
- Creating support scripts in e.g. Perl, PHP, Shell-scripts or to automate admin tasks
- Experience in SUN/Oracle Solaris, RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and SuSe Linux to support/troubleshoot problems
- Mounting servers into racks of the datacenter
- connecting servers with required components, like power, network also etc.
- Installation of OS on Unix/Linux Servers, based on provided installation process
- trouble shooting and fixing HW problems by e.g. replacing broken parts of Unix/Linux servers
- Management System document new procedures/best practices or update existing one in our TWIKI (interenes Wiki) Documentation System
- Providing Tool support after training phase/knowledge transfer of:
> Archive Central
> DME
- Update monitoring tools by adding/removing machines and updating settings, when Required
- Reviewing automated machines scanning/log files
