Very interesting long term contract opportunity based in the south of Germany working as a Thermal Engineer on an Aero Engine.
KEY SKILLS: FE - Finite Element Modelling, Thermal Engineering, Heat & Mass Transfer, Patran, Avionics, Aero-Engine Design or Fluid Dynamics, SAS (Secondary Air System).
You will have experience in heat & mass transfer with significant experience with FE (Finite Element) tools, including pre- and post-processing. You will have an avionics background including aero-engine or fluid dynamics. The tasks you will be performing are:
*Perform 2D and 3D FEM thermal analysis (Patran/Qtran/Calculix) of aero engine turbines, compressors and casings.
*Coordinate the boundary conditions to be used for the SAS assessments with the involved disciplines.
*Document results and present them for reviews.
*Analysis of secondary air systems.
The contract is due to start as soon as possible, or in January 2012, with a long term potential.
