My client a prestigeous telecom organisation is looking for a senior site design manager/engineer for an exciting role in Germany. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years experience in telecoms site design for a consultancy, vendor or operator. Must speak English and have a good understanding of German.
Role
Provide expert level advice and consultancy to Huawei Project Teams in the field of site design
Ensure that site designs, construction and electrical standards and specifications are agreed with the customer prior to the start of the project
Understand local conditions and tailor site designs to best match the local environment
Guarantee minimal design to provide value engineered designs
Review site specific designs as produced by the Design Consultancy and make recommendations to manage cost and simplify construction
Provide hands on training for staff who will be attending Technical Site Surveys (TSS), reviewing drawings and approving designs
Review and approve alternative materials proposed by suppliers and customers
Assist the Design Consultancy to produce non standard solutions as required
Ensure the site designs are in line with customers' requirement and standard of the operation and maintenance
Ensure that site designs are compliant with local Health and Safety requirements
Skills
A qualified engineer with a minimum Bachelor degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
A minimum 10 years experience in site design of the telecoms industry, gained working for a Design Consultancy, Equipment Vendor or Operator
Familiar with the civil work program such like SAP 2000, ETABS, StaadPro
Must be able to Speak English/German
Understanding of Towers, Mon-Poleand all antenna suppot structures
Good understanding of Health and Safety
Stong Communicator
Proficient in AUTOCAD, MS Office, Excel, Project etc...
Institute Accreditation - ie DIN, CEN.
