Job Title : Stress Engineer - Fatigue and Damage Tolerance

Introduction
Our client is a specialist in aircraft construction and maintenance. They are currently looking for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance specialists to join their team on either a contract or permanent basis.
Tasks
- Calculation of the fatigue strength of aircraft structures with analytical and FE methods for planes and helicopters (DO228, A-Jet, Bell UH-1D, business jets)
- Creation of operational load analysis, lifetime analysis and load calculations for single and forests
- Development of fatigue and stress, evidence, testing and repair of construction documents drawings regarding fatigue/tiredness
- Creation of repair instructions
- Review of complaint reports, Bauabweichungen, repair instructions, service bulletins and AOG Aktivitiäten regarding statics/strength/fatigue
- Support for the production of spare and repair parts
- Preparation of documents for the approval process (compliance documentation)
- Programming of computing routines
- Predict and Damage Tolerance Analysis and Life Assessment
- Production support for all aircraft types in service
- Primary examination of the documents created in the Department for compatibility with the current regulations as a model engineer
- Performing all functions relating to the subject area for Continued Airworthiness Fatigue
- Support of other organizational units for qualification and certification as well as in the preparation of tenders and logistical tasks
Requirements
- Graduate Engineer (. FH/Univ) aircraft or similar professional qualification with professional experience in the field of fatigue strength calculation at an OEM in aircraft
- Very good knowledge and experience in the aviation-specific regulations (FAR, JAR/EASA)
- Experience in the calculation of composite materials (GFRP, CFRP) and metal buildings
- Excellent knowledge of fatigue strength
- Good knowledge of CAE: NASTRAN, PATRAN, and in Mathcad and Office Tools
- Willingness to work flexible hours (including AOG-ready)
- Very good command of spoken and written German would be beneficial.
- Independent and responsible work, quick definition and development of solutions taking into account technical and economic aspects, good communication skills, strong customer orientation
