Für ein Kundenprojekt sucht ELAN schnellstmöglichst qualifizierte Unterstützung als SAP HR Support for HR Projects (m/w) für ein Projekt in Darmstadt.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

SUPPORT STRUCTURE
The consultant for SAP Human Resource (HR) Support for HR related projects, End-User Support and Administrative Coordination will be part of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Section within the General Services Division. The consultant will report to the Business Process Expert Coordinator. However, due to the nature of a matrix organization, the consultant will also report to other staff members when performing some of the tasks. The consultant will work in close coordination with the IT Service Desk, SAP Business Process Expert Group (i.e. key user group) and SAP consultants (who maintain the system).

The consultant covering the activity will replace the person currently holding the position during her maternity leave.

ERP 2005 SAP modules in use at company are FI, CO, MM, SD, Public Sector Management (Funds Management), HR, Project System. The current company SAP HR implementation includes:
Portal functionality for Working Time, Benefits and Payments, Personal Information and myLearning. Company uses Portal technology for workflow and Employee Self Service transactions.
HR ERP backend functionality for HR Planning and Budgeting (PCP), commitment processor (PSM integration), HR Organization Management and Employee Administration, Payroll, Time Management (positive working time concept), Recruitment and Training Management. Besides the realization and implementation of smaller process and/or functionality enhancements, company has initiated, or is planning, multiple projects in the area of Human Resources including HR Planning Optimization and introduction of Flexitime (positive time management). Further, a SAP BO project covering also HR related reporting aspects has been started. The current number of company SAP users is estimated to be ca. 500, including staff and consultants.

SAP users are grouped into three categories:
Employee Self Service Users (ESS). These users use ESS for accessing the information, e.g. time and absence management, payroll statement and in the future also for end user reporting.
Workflow and Reporting Users, who will mainly view SAP data and participate in workflow, i.e. electronic approval loop of certain transactions, e.g. leave requests, overtime requests in the area of HR. Travel management, procurement requests, invoice acceptance, etc. related to other SAP modules. Most of these users also use SAP for reporting purposes. Professional Transactional Users, who enter and maintain data and transactions directly in SAP ERP. It is not expected that the Consultant will provide support in areas where a high degree of specialisation is expected, such as payroll. On the other hand it is expected that the consultant is sufficiently knowledgeable in non-HR subjects to be able to support end users on generic non-HR related topics, such as reporting, printing, workflow handling, etc. and to act as back-up to SAP End User Support Consultants in the area of SAP Material Management and Financials.

The role of the consultant will be:
1. To support the implementation of HR related enhancement process and projects, namely the HR Planning Optimization, BO as well as flexitime implementation, by:
-Supporting the Business Process Expert Coordinator in Project coordination related activity, such as workshops, project meetings, etc.
-Conducting activity such as testing of new functionality, supporting pilot implementations, roll-outs and similar activities in a project environment and providing respective feedback
-Supporting Business Process Experts in testing for technical upgrades including Support and Enhancement Packages
2. To support day-to-day operation of the company SAP System with emphasis on HR related topics by~
-Providing second level support to company end-users in the use of the mySAP system. This will mainly involve providing guidance on navigation and assisting users who are not familiar with SAP, however first level support, particularly in areas supported by ESS and workflows functionality is expected,
-Providing second level functional support to company Service Desk members, especially in identifying the root cause of the problem in close cooperation with 3rd level support, the SAP Business Process Experts and SAP functionality consultants, (user error, client setup, SAP Bugs, Customisation errors, missing authorisations etc.), and resolve the call if direct end-user support is required,
-Establishing a knowledge base for end users and company Service Desk of the resolutions to commonly experienced issues; questions, calls etc.
-If necessary, carrying out the initial testing of changes in the test system prior to user acceptance.

3. To facilitate the coordination and communication of changes in functionality to the SAP system (with emphasis on HR) due to bugs, enhancements, and daily production support. This role is instrumental in helping the SAP Business Expert Group and SAP Consultants to maintain and refine the internal SAP Change Management Process. This role will include the following tasks as a minimum:
-Monitoring controlling, communicating and tracking the registered bugs with SAP Business Process Experts, SAP Consultants and System Administrators until bug closure.
-Monitoring the transport requests provided for the resolution of bugs or changes to the system,
-Initiating the change management process by collecting change details and creating the related change management forms for the changes to the system functionality,
-Identifying testing, documentation, and training materials that may be affected by system changes with the Business Process Experts (BPE's) and following up the implementation of the required changes to the affected documentation, including supporting BPE's in the documentation activity.

4. To support end-user and process related documentation and training processes with special emphasis on HR by:
-Highlighting end user training needs in the area of HR

-Coordinating HR related end user training initiated via the SAP Business Process Experts, direct requests or as a result of Service Desk action, including training reports and training material
-Coordinating and following-up changes to end-user documentation, process documentation, test documentation etc.
-Providing ad hoc and scheduled end user training in cooperation with the SAP Business Process Experts or as part of the company induction programme.
The consultant is also expected to increase his knowledge of the company processes and decrease the dependence on the SAP Business Process Expert Group.

Skills:

-The consultant is expected to have Experience of working in the personnel division of a public sector organisation comparable to company, with involvement in the HR budget and planning processes and knowledge of associated processes, like employee administration and relevant system transactions
-Prior experience in coordinating tasks between a high number of internal and external people, such as bug follow-up, training coordination and documentation follow-up
-Proven experience in providing end-user support, and be proficient in using the mySAP ERP and portal HR functionalities, preferably the mySAP ERP for the public sector.
-Experience in providing end user training in the areas of SAP navigation, workflow and ESS on SAP portal.
-Basic understanding of SAP workflow concept and models and the ability to review and trace workflow logs and errors.
-Working knowledge of SAP ERP HR functionalities incl. employee self service such as HR absence and time management, employee data maintenance, payroll slip, training requests, etc.
-Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Tools, especially Microsoft Word.

In addition to the above, the following will be considered as advantageous:
-Basic understanding of HR Functional Modules: Personnel Cost Planning, Organization Management, Employee Administration, Payroll, Recruitment, Learning, reporting functionality for all Modules utilized at company (including PI/CO, MM, SD, etc.)
-Knowledge of incident and change management fundamentals and principles, preferably having used processes conforming to the ITlL standard for IT Service Management.
-Since the job requires active communication and coordination, the consultant shall have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
-To prioritize, plan, and resolve conflicts,
-To manage multiple assignments,
-To work in a team environment, and
-To consistently meet deadlines.

Sprachen: The official languages are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore consultants must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other. All reporting and documentation shall be in the English language.

Einsatzort: Darmstadt, but travel within Europe may be required for certain activities.
